Wyvil Primary School

The 1.2 Million Pound project, comprised of both internal and external works ,including structural, reconfiguration and refurbishment work’s with full M&E package
With the project duration spanning over 11 months, our projects delivery team faced several challenging obstacles, largely the struggles behind delivering projects during the covid-19 pandemic
Both our field and office team had to quickly adapt to an entire new way of working, keeping the Health & Safety of both our clients and staff at the forefront at all times, whilst adhering to the Strict Government Covid-19 guideline’s.
Ensigna implemented all new covid 19 health and safety procedures and processes immediately , in order to support minimise any disruption’s to our clients project’s

Wyvil School has records of having 2 bomb strikes during WW2, having been made aware of this and to ensure the safety of both the school and our operatives, Ensigna employed a specialist UXO contractor to mitigate risk of encountering any unexploded WW2 bomb during our project works. This involved a watch and brief specialist working alongside our ground working contractor, to oversee the excavation works for the new drainage system being installed.

Despite all the mentioned challenges in which Ensigna encountered throughout, the project was completed to the highest standard, receiving great feedback from our clients at London borough of Lambeth

The project included external works to both front and rear playgrounds including new drainage runs, regrading/resurfacing works, infill extension and forming of the new pupil entrance with installation of new external gates.

Internal works included internal layout reconfiguration, structural and refurbishment works with full M&E package installed. Works included installation of new passenger lift, refurbishment of washrooms, classrooms, and offices over 3 floors.

The works were carried out to the highest quality during the pandemic and handled in accordance with the Covid 19 guidelines
